Is it safe to activate nested virtualization?

Hi,

We need to enable nested virtualization in a server. This server is in production and with running VMs on it and I'm worried that enabling this could cause an issue or something else.

I think that atm we can't reboot the server, so I'll proceed with mod_probe command.

Are there any risks?

I would expect that you need to unload kvm_intel or kvm_amd to enable nested (if not enabled yet) and that will probably require a reboot or at least stopping all VMs.
