Iptables on PGM

I tried to install iptables in my PGM, I apply the rules, I check them with iptables -L -n and they are all fine but the effect that the firewall makes is to close everything. Any help?
I its the DROP rules, that is, I close everything by default and then I open the recommended ports in the installation help of the PGM

I'm unsure, why this happen, but if you look my advancing PMG thread, I used therefor ufw. It's much easier to configure and it works. You can also find my recommended settings.
