IPMI access

Hello I have a R730XD with proxmox installed. I created a cron to run every minute to execute a fan speed script through ipmi. WHen the script executes it brings me this message. Unable to establish IPMI v2 / RMCP+ session.
I am able to access the ipmi to the server through another computer but not through proxmox directly. Im guessing some type of network misconfiguration. ANy help would be appreciated.

Have you tried ipmitool -I open directly in Proxmox? This should be doable from the local host with no network access to IPMI required.

As a bonus, you can periodically read temperatures and adjust the fan speed accordingly![/ICODE]
