IP alias

Hi All,

I've spent most of the day trying to accomplish adding a second WAN IP to my machine so as to do SSL offloading for multiple sites using haproxy. Both IPs have the same subnet etc.

After some reading etc I've decided to go with the alias route. However on my debian vm i can ifup and I see the IP is allocated etc and from that machine I can ping it however from any other machine I cant, I think the proxmox firewall is stopping it, any ideas on what I need to do?

OK so I added the alias under datacenter \ firewall \ alias in the proxmox ui and now I can ping the ip, however I repeated the same steps for a different server and different ip and now I can't ping the new one.
