IO Crest - Quad 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Network card (intel-i225)- install advice

Hi, I bought this network card - IO Crest SY 4-port 2,5 - intel i225

1) Does anyone have it and was able to get it working in proxmox? My proxmox doesn't recognize it. Windows recognizes it, but I can't even install the drivers.

My proxmox version: 8.2.4, kernel -Linux 6.8.8-2-pve.



2) Do you know any network card 4 x 2.5gb or 4 x 1gb which is simply plug and play?

The Binardt 4 port I have got two years ago, and it is plug and play both Linux and OpenBSD.
The Six port Iocrest is on my wishlist so I don’t know. But when Servethehome.com reviewed the six port crest they did not complain about drivers needed and recommended using OS default.

Thanks. If you try pass through to VM, can you pass through only 2 and the rest still work on host or a second VM? Or all 6 have to be passthoughed jointly to one VM?

Hi, I don't know what exactly you are asking me. But I can do pass through 1 or all 6 NICs to one VM. As I need

I just did a pass through of 2 NICs to one VM. And another NIC to another VM.
And 1 linux bridge to another VM.
