I have a Minisforum MS-01. For some reason, Proxmox can't use the SFP+ ports to connect to the network. Not sure what to do anymore. I'm using an SFP+ -> RJ45 adapter from Ubiquiti.

ethtool -i enp2s0f0np0

And when using dmesg | grep -i enp2s0f0np0 I don't see anything useful.

ip link show enp2s0f0np0

Code:
enp2s0f0np0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 qdisc noop state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000

And trying to use ip link to set the interface up does nothing.

Just had this same exact thing happen to me, found your post via google. My issue was intermediary fiber, I was getting low power warning when running ethtool -m, so I moved to a different optic and OM3 patch and it came right up. Gotta love when it's a layer 1 issue! Try this and let us know.

This is a very useful link. Thank you! I'm not really keen on unlocking the X710 (don't like to mess with drivers if I don't have to), so this is really welcome. Thanks.

No problem. Just note I shared the Aussie store link. Set it to whereever you're from if it doesn't do it for you. Prices on that page are in AUD. But either way, the prices on FS are typically not cheap, but the products work and are the real deal. Unlike aliexpress where it's a gamble when it comes to these things.
