Hi, I'm trying to passthrough one of the two SFP+ ports on my Intel X520-DA2 card to hopefully have one port assigned to a VM and leave the other for the host system.

I have successfully enabled IOMMU but, unlike my other system, both ports are in the same IOMMU group.

Is there something I could try to fix this issue or is passing through the entire network card to the VM my only choice?

Systems specs: i3 6100 - ASRock H110M-G/M.2 - Intel X520-DA2

GRUB config: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet intel_pstate=disable ixgbe.allow_unsupported_sfp=1 intel_iommu=on iommu=pt pci=assign-busses"

Both ports in the same group

SR-IOV interfaces also appear in the same IOMMU group

The IOMMU groups are determined by the motherboard and BIOS. Check for a BIOS update and check if SR-IOV is enabled. Putting the card into another PCIe slot might also help.
