Hey guys,

Its been awhile since ive done any networking and my brain is fried trying to figure out what i thought would be an easy task.
So i have an intel Nuc with 1 physical nic
Currently vmbr0 is setup on 192.168.1.0/24 which is the same network as my WLAN. All of my VMs subsequently are assigned 192.168.1 addresses.

The goal is to have a separate 10.0.0.0/8 subnet setup so that i can build my domain lab on that isolated network. I figured i could do that via VLANs but it doesnt seem to be that straight forward. Or at least my little brain cant figure out how to do it.

VLAN's only really come into play if you have network hardware (switches/routers) that support VLANs - most consumer gear doesn't

You could create a pfSense vm to act as a router for a seperate lab network and you could possibly setup firewall rules and port forwarding to allow traffic to flow between virtual hosts and desktops/internet but it wouldn't be simple.
