Hello community.

Can anyone help resolve the Proxmox VE 8.1-1 update issue regarding Intel AX211 support?

The result of command:
lspci -n -n -k
is as follows:

06:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Aquantia Corp. AQC113CS NBase-T/IEEE 802.3bz Ethernet Controller [AQtion] [1d6a:94c0] (rev 03)
DeviceName: Intel WiFi 6E AX210
Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. ProArt X570-CREATOR WIFI [1043:87f5]
Kernel driver in use: atlantic
Kernel modules: atlantic

It is incorrect because the ASUS ProArt Z790-CREATOR WIFI motherboard is equipped with Intel 6E AX211 device. The motherboard type is wrong as well.

However it is mysterious because iwlwifi reports different device:
iwlwifi Detected Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160MHz, REV=0x430

The 'modprobe -r iwlwifi' command returns the following result:
iwlwifi WRT: Invalid buffer destination

Is there any way to update proxmox iwlwifi module to solve the inconsistency in configuration without damaging the system Proxmox itself ?
Debian 12 linux packages are available, but there is a warn against removing proxmox packages during installation. Probably the future updates of proxmox will be problematic as well after the newest Debian 12 packages installation in field of firmware packages incompatibilities between proxmox and the newest Debian 12.

Is there any update available with apt-get command from proxmox sources to support AX211 device ?
All available proxmox updates has been installed already but the problem still exists.

Any tips will be appreciated.

Thanks for any information in advance.
Best regards.

Proxmox does not support WiFi but there is a command to update the PCIe descriptions (but I can't remember it right now) to show the right device name. I expect that your device is just too new and the driver has not yet been updated. With new Linux kernel versions, this problem will probably fix itself. Proxmox provides firmware that does conflict with Debian's (see this forum) but that will not be problematic in future updates.

EDIT: Maybe it helps to disable Above 4G Decoding in the motherboard BIOS.
