yes. also 2.x if you unload KVM module (only one hypervisor can use VT) but this makes absolutely no sense will have side effects. so do this only for testing, never for production systems.
i think that vmware 1.x have host 64bit support, and with this method i do not remove KVM module. But i don't remeber this.....
