Installing Proxmox 3.2 on a Mac Mini

Hey All, I'm not sure if this kind of thing is welcome here or not, but I recently had to reinstall Proxmox on one of the nodes in my lab, and it proved to be quite the challenge. I wrote a blog post so I can reference it in the future if needed, and I though I would share it: http://unixschool.org/installing-proxmox-3-2-on-a-mac-mini/

Hi,
thanks for the info.
I guess there is an typo:
Proxmox 3.1 install media (On a USB drive, or a CD). Note that when I say Proxmox 3.1, that is not a typo. Something in Proxmox 3.1 does not play nice with the Mac Mini when it comes to UEFI with the Proxmox 3.2 ISO.
Is "Something in Proxmox 3.2 does not play..." not this what you mean?

And on point 15.: If I understand right, you are doing it because the internal broadcom-nic was reconise after update and named eth1?!
In this case it's perhaps smarter to change /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules that the internal nic became eth0?

Udo

Hi Udo, Thanks for pointing out my typo, yes I did indeed mean 3.2, and I've updated my post to reflect that. As for the other point, I never knew that you could do that! Changing that file looks promising, I'll test it later today, and update my post if it works. Thanks again :)
