Hey Everyone

I have stepped away from proxmox for awhile and looking to install it again today.
Also I see its at v5 now. I think I stopped using it at v3.

So, I will be installing v5 on my home server. Its 4 x 1TB in raid 10 with Apadtec 6405e card.

My plan is to create a 20GB OS partition, and rest will be used for VM's

Before i needed to manually add the 2nd partition I created for proxmox to see. I was wondering ig v5 will automatically find it.

Im asking cause I can not find my instructions I created a few years ago on adding the 2nd partition for the VM's

Hi again,
in such an case, I use an small raidvolume for the installation (like 100GB - but 20GB should be ok (less space for backup, iso ...)) and an big raidvolume for the VMs (not partioning one big raid-volume but use two raid-disks sda + sdb).

Yes you are correct, not partions, but drives. I used incorrect terms. Im sorry

When i create the RAID, i will use a 50GB and 1950GB

Thanks for replying
