Installing OpenVPN on Proxmox Host

Anyone have any idea how to do this? I tried to install but I get no connection from the client despite my configuration being identical to another OpenVPN server I am running. I have tried with pve-firewall disabled and dead, still not getting through for TLS handshake and I cannot find any error logs.

I really want to install openvpn and move the Proxmox management tool (pveproxy I believe it is called) onto the private network so it is only accessible over the VPN.

OK So I have managed to get OpenVPN to accept connections and I have enabled net.ipv4.ip_forward=1 in sysctl but I must have a problem with my routing because although I can connect to the VPN I am unable to access anything outside the VPN network.

OK I got this working now, there was something wrong with my host - I tried it on a new host and it worked fine. Not sure what the problem was.

Now I just have to try and figure out how to put pveproxy onto the vpn network...

Do you want it only on the vpn network, because if normally "listens" on "*", which means, it works all the time.

If I may ask, how did you solve this? Was net.ipv4.ip_forward=1 in sysctl the only thing?

I currently have a turnkey linux template based LXC container with openvpn on it, and t is exhibiting hte same issues, not accepting connections.
