Hello, I've been working with PVE for over a year now, and everything is alright, but recently I had to install 2 VMs for which the vendor would normally use KVM/virt-manger for. So they wanted the libvirt-clients installed on the PVE host, after doing so.. and doing some research I found out this was not the way to go, since PVE will not work with libvirt.

PVE version 5.2
Other critical VMs running on this host.

Nothing else was setup, just the following command was executed:

#sudo apt-get install libvirt-clients

After installing it, I found out a way to ssh into both VMs with out using anythig related to the libvirt package.

I wanted to ask if no issues would come up on the future because of installing the libvirt package?. I did some tests and everything is working as expected on the PVE host.

Thanks!

Thanks for the response.

Yeah unfortunatelyI found out libvirt was not to be installed on PVE right after doing so... but as you said, I'll have to monitor the server a couple of day to make sure everything is running fine. I'll keep you guy posted.
As of now, the server is working normally, will give it more time.
