Installation of Proxmox on HPE ml350

Hi,
I have looked at countless threads and I am after assistance; I want to run an HPE ML350 Gen9 on Proxmox solely for the purpose of running virtual machines as part of a lab that I want to build.

Anyone done this before? I literally started it up, went to start the installation and then in the HPE settings there was no option for any Debian based systems... only RHEL, SUSE-EL, HPE, VMware, and Windows...

hpe installer assistant only support selected os but you can install what you want, just boot from usb containing Proxmox installer.

I was hoping it would be that simple, hardware RAID was the only reason I hadn't done that, but looking at using zfs as an alternative. Cheers

you can install pve on hw raid of hp as the default install ext4/lvm
make sur create logical volume before start the pve install
