Hi.

Today i tried to install the newest proxmox 1.3 on a Adaptec 5805 RAID controller
with 4 1 TB WD RE3 disks.

When i do a RAID 10 which gives me ca 1.86 TB it works fine , but when i tried a
RAID 5 which gives me 2.79 TB the installation failes with this error.

unable to create data volume at /usr/bin/proxinstall line 577.

Is this a bug / limitation on the proxmox server ???

Thanks for a great product....

see http://www.proxmox.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1151

means currently pls use volumes <2TB.

Hi

Or do a small-clean-Debian/Lenny installation that fits perfectly to your
need and use LILO as Bootloader.

Create a /boot/grub directory and install the proxmox packages.

I have a 5x 1TB Raid5 for the system and 5x Raid1 for /boot up and
running just fine.

Regards

Christian
