[SOLVED] Installation issue on mac mini 5,1

Hey there,

Years have past since I first install Proxmox on mac mini 2,1. But since mac mini 5,1 released I just carry headhaches.
After CD-ROM boot and first prompt for install I encounter the non-supported video mode "317" and found some ressources
on forum : [VESA 2 Very giant limit for Proxmox VE 1.x and 2.x installation].

I followed these steps that helped a few : pressing "enter" to see video modes at error notification then tried different modes
entering "debug vga=8" at first prompt install after a rebooting cause the "enter" command freeze ["8" as an example].

After some tries, the installer wen't a bit further than the annoying "control D for reboot" error and a cropped "License Agreement"
screen splashed. But "accept" button unreachable. Even with "tab"…

Retry with bigger LCD display, new VESA modes availables on error notification.
Retry with CRT 22" install run straightforward…

So the Intel HD 3000 is compatible but a mismatch with GraphicChipset/VideoAdapter/display/isolinux.cfg prevent from installing.

Just to confirm, I got it (v3.1) installed on my mac mini also after a lot of experimenting... the settings were as follows:

During the install:

debug vga=8 noapic

But then the installation would not boot. I got a kernel panic - not syncing: No mapping iommu for ioapic 2

So I added noapic to grub

Now it works. - but I have no ethernet connectivity. I've double check ethernet settings, even re-installed. Can ping 127.0.0.1 but nothing else on the LAN.
