installation freezes on 1U4LW-X470 with ryzen 5950x

Im trying to install proxmox 7 on the following hardware:

barebone asrock rack 1u4lw-x470 with a X470D4U mainboard and amd ryzen 5950x.

as soon as the main window is being displayed and boot selection has been made everything freezes. meanwhile i tried a lot... uefi and legacy selection of d-sub videocard on and off csm etc etc. Anyone more luck on installing this config?

Any help greatly appreciated
 
I'm using the latest 4.2 bios available from manufacturer website. Will try latest debian. Will report results during today.
 
Unfortunately no succes, even with the latest desktop ubuntu 21.04. I'll try removing some memory, which I've read sometimes causes boot issues and crashes aswell. Keep you updated. Meanwhile anyone got any suggestions?
