Installation Failed - Dell R730

Can you please provide your storage setup?
Drives type, number of drives, what RAID are they in?
Have you tried (are you able to try) to install it from a USB stick?

Delete the 3,3TB Volume and create a smaller one for PVE and a larger as Datastore. I would say you hit the limitation of 2TB for non GPT drives.

Hey there.
I have 10 SAS 900GB Drives on RAID10 with 2 as hot spares.
Yes, I tried installing from a physical usb and a virtual usb (via idrac).

I actually have two R730's, and the other one is 1.636TB on RAID10, and it still didn't work.

Weird. I suggest you trying the following:
  1. Create a bootable USB with Proxmox installer just to make sure the stick is not corrupted
  2. Make sure that all USB drives of the server are enabled in BIOS
  3. Remove all but one hard drive from the server
  4. Wipe (initialise) the last drive
  5. Create a RAID0 VD out of it
  6. Set this VD as boot in BIOS
  7. Try installing Proxmox again
  8. (If it fails) try installing again with debug option: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Debugging_Installation

Very good suggestions. However with the same result.

Hello. I'm assisting with this problem. I am attaching the install.log from the latest attempt. Using installer 5.4.1.

That was caused from your RAID card... I was experiance with my raid card alsoo. Some time at second try will ok some time not work... For basic solition install proxmox USB 3 USB Disk and do not create SWAP are at instalation time on USB after you can create SWAP area on high speed storage...

I'm a little lost on what you are suggesting. Are you saying to install Proxmox on an external USB drive? I wanting Proxmox on my RAID storage.

You not need install to disk via RAID card, you not need more more performance for Proxmox himself.. Bay the way Proxmox and KVM use same SWAP area for all guest so you only need high speed disk for swap area basically install Proxmox USB disk and use another disk for SWAP areaa...
