Installation disc ejects and reboots during install

I'm installing proxmox on a core2duo computer from a dvd, and the disc ejects after a few seconds of running the installer, then the system reboots. I know this is barely any information, tell me what you need to know to debug this.

Hi,
you can try to install from USB-Stick - copy the whole iso with "dd"* on an empty stick.

* on Windows there are gui-tools available, because of missing tools like dd.

The computer I'm booting into doesn't boot from USB sticks for some reason. I've been trying to fix this for some time now, and usually just use a cd. Is there maybe another way?

what is the last info before reboot?
CD-Rom not found?

If not - check if your CD-ROM is an valid copy. Check also the download (md5sum).
