Hi

I'm trying to intall proxmox on a intel NUC8i7BEH

It sees my wifi adapter in the management interface drop down on the graphical installation screen , but not the ethernet NIC which is a Intel I219-V

I'm not sure if the onboard NIC could have failed or if its a general issue with drivers on this NIC
I really dont want to have this running over wifi if I can help it

It has a USB3 port - so not sure if I can buy a network adapter that can plug into the USB if there is no support for this on board NIC

Any advice appreciated

Hi everyone,

I have bumped into the same issue. Only wireless adapter is being recognized during the install. When I checked output from "ip a" I could not see any ethernet interface listed there, just wireless, loopback and bridge.

I also installed clean windows on my machine to check if NIC is faulty. It works under windows.

I have tried 8.2-2, 7.4-1 and 6.4-1 version of VE which I assume have different version of kernels. Still no luck.

I appreciate any advice.

Thanks.

Jaro

My Nic was faulty, so i bought a USB C to NIC adapater and its been running fine

I burned way too much time on it so gave up in the end the usb c nic was instantly recognized
good luck
