Okay, folks. I've played with Proxmox for a while now and I've decided I want to try to implement it in a light home-based environment. I find myself using VMs often and would have benefited from using them more in recent years. I'm including an image that helps visualize the network setup I want.

In short, I've got a server running Proxmox 1.9 with 2 ethernet adapters. Eth0 goes to the wireless router and supplies internet to the server. Eth1 goes to the 24-port unmanaged switch which I want to use for a combination of things, be it PXE booting, accessing a game VM, or reimaging via FOG. The wireless router functions as DHCP/DNS, but that doesn't forward through Proxmox... and it doesn't support PXE booting anyways.

Any nuances I should be aware of? Anything I should do or specifically, not do?

if your expecting anything on the eth1 side of the Server to have any kind of connectivity to internet you'll have to put some kind of passthrough on the server OR link the switch to the router...

I can't link the switch to the router; The router doesn't pass bootp, meaning the switch MUST reside on eth1.
