Install Problem - no vga

I am trying to install proxmox on an HP dx2450 workstation with the following specs:
1 x Athlon X2 5200B / 2.7 GHz
RAM 2 GB
HDD 1 x 160 GB
Gigabit Ethernet
NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE

I have downloaded and burned the Proxmox 1.4 ISO and can boot to where the mouse icon changes from x to a pointer, but I do not get anything else on the screen from this point forward just a white screen that I can move the mouse on.

Is there a list of compatible VGA cards?

strange, this is a desktop board? all vesa compatible cards should work.
try debug mode (just type 'debug' on the boot prompt).

(only the installer needs X11)
