Hi All,

I am trying to install ISE 2.7 into Proxmox VE 8.2.2.
I downloaded the iso image from Cisco.
Created the VM.
Ran the VM and logged into the console.
Selected 1 Cisco ISE Installation (Keyboard/Monitor)

Received an error message

ERROR: UNSUPPORTED HARDWARE DETECTED!
System Halted.

I am trying to install ISE 2.7 in a test environment then upgrade it to version 3.1

Any ideas how to continue to install ISE 2.7

According to the system requirements page for 2.7, KVM/QEMU is supported, as is Hyper-V
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/do...e27/b_ise_InstallationGuide27_chapter_01.html
Likewise for 3.1
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/do...de31/b_ise_InstallationGuide31_chapter_2.html

Have you checked that all the system requirements/settings are met?

Otherwise, if it is just for testing (and your production is running on either esx or hyper-v) one route you could at least consider would be to run it with nested virtualization [1] (aka, running esx or hyper-v in a proxmox-VM). It won't be the fastest, but since it is the update-process that you're interested in, speed shouldn't matter too much, right?
