Is there something about Proxmox that stops booting from USB? Both times I have used unetbootin to create a boot drive it has complained that "/dev/ttyS0 already exists, overwrite?" This tells me there is something weird about the ISO it doesn't like, but it's the same one I used to create a boot DVD for another machine that has a DVD drive.
