Hi, I have a preseed.cfg which is working with debian-12.8.0-amd64-netinst.iso to install a physical machine via a usb key and Ventoy.
I would like to do the same on a proxmox VM. Is there any tutorial out there which covers this particular problem/requirement?
Thanks for any hints
Michael

Hi!

One way would be to set up a small webserver of your choice and place your preseed-file(s) there. Then, when you boot your VM with the netinst.iso, chose 'Advanced options' from the debian splash screen.

From there, you can pick 'Automated install', which will let you type the URL!

Hope this helps,
Best,
Daniel

Hi Daniel, thanks, I've followed that advice, installed apache2 on that same proxmox host, put my preseed.cfg there and the rest was history. --> solved
Kind regards
Michael
