I've been using my current Windows setup to run my services, but I've found that using Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and a hypervisor for Docker is too complicated and unstable. I only have one computer and a laptop, I'm curious about how gaming on a windows vm would work with Proxmox. The connection speed to other devices on my network is 5 Gbps. I am by on means a competitive gamer (Minecraft and fortnite are the games i play), and the alternative is 40 fps on my laptop. In other words, I want to know how much issues like input lag, stuttering, low frame rate, and so on would affect gaming performance. My situation is basically the same as this guy's: https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/proxmox-with-occasional-windows-gaming.85808/, but I couldn't identify what conclusion was reached. Also, can i pass through the dedicated graphics while still having the intergrated graphics for my other vm's, or mabye this will work : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPrOoeMxzu0
Specs:
- Rog Maximus xii hero wifi
- I9-10900k
- MSI RTX 3070 gaming trio (80% sure gpu passthrough will work)
have multiple ssd's and hard drives if that is an issue.
ps. Seems like promox is its own os?
