Incremental Backups with some tool

Hello I'm searching some tutorial for do incremental backups for big VM with lessfs, rsnapshot or any other tool.

Can anybody help me?

1) And for backup the VMs is necessary only install BackupPC in the backup server or is needed more additional configurations?
2) Is possible do backup of de VMs with rsnapshot?

1) you need to install backuppc on an separate server and you need to configure the virtual machines access (rsync, smb, ssh)
2) you don´t need to backup with rsnapshot because backuppc is doing the versioning for you

Rsync must be configured on a VMs or on a proxmox server?

on the vm´s ... but please do not use the proxmox host as backupserver

I'm now using backuppc without problems, but now i don't know how to store backup data in different disks for each different VM.

Do you know how can i do this with backuppc?

Hi,

you couldn´t do it with backuppc. BackupPC has a deduplicating and pooling filesystem which can only be put to a different location, but only complete.

Ok thank you I'm going to use LVM for use all disks in 1 backup folder.
