Hello,

I am currently running Proxmox 7.1-8. One of my VM's has WHM/cPanel running on it. It is consistently showing incorrect memory usage and I am having to restart the VM to get it to normalize. Please see the photos for reference. Is this a known issue? Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated!

See LinuxAteMyRAM.com.

According to your free -h output your VM uses 14.5GB RAM (used+shared+buffer/cache) and only 0.75GB are free/unused. PVE shows how much of your physical RAM is used/blocked by that VM and this is 14.7GB (which couldn't be used anymore by the host or other guests).

If you don't want to waste RAM, don't assign more RAM to a VM than it actually needs, so the guest won't waste too much RAM for caching. Right now 13 of your 16 GiB RAM are wasted for caching, so you might want to lower your RAM down to 4GB RAM or something like that.
