Is there really some overwhelming need, especially when I'm mucking around in Updates and Repositories to pop the No valid subscription "You do not have a valid subscription for this server." pop up EVERY OTHER CLICK?!?!

** I KNOW I DON'T HAVE A VALID SUBSCRIPTION. **

Upon login, "okay," I kinda get it. After that... ENOUGH. It's annoying. POPUPS SUCK.

Just cut it.

Thanks.

the popups only happen on login and when updating/fiddling with the repositories. havent seen them come up on anything else yet.
you must have a very short fuse if that makes you go ballistic.
I’m in the middle of testing and converting some older servers to new servers. Due to various issues and testing I’ve reimaged and re-upgraded a fair amount in the last several days.

So I’m in this section a lot.

It’s ridiculous. Has nothing to do with a short fuse. It’s just poor design. Zero reason for it.

of course there is a reason for it.
of course the popup isnt required for pve to work, but proxmox as a company is selling a product and wants to make profits from it.
so they place the popup there to remind people of that, much in the same way freaking winrar is giving you its popup every time you start the free version of it.
there are 3 alternatives here.

1. deal with the occasional popup and continue using an awesome and free product.
2. buy a subscription for each node and get rid of the popup plus supporting the creators of the product
3. use a different product that doesnt have such popups

i could understand the complaint if you paid for it and it was still annoying you, but this is just unproductive ranting at this point.

So I’m in this section a lot.
But you still only change the repos to non-subscription once per server, do you? In case your're changing back and forth from testing to non-subscription, well then I guess you have to live with it, or edit the sources.list or proxmox.sources file from the command line.
