[SOLVED] Improve verification - make queue

Hello,
I have recommendation for improve verification (or backup and restore too). I have enabled "Verify New Snapshots", so after backup is started verification immediately. But backups are make quickly (dirty bitmap etc.), so I have backuped about 15 virtuals in 10 minutes. But then after that is runned 15 verifications simultaneously. I think that it can overload server in some situations and effectivity of many verifications in same time is not good. I think that will be better make a queue when for example 3 verification is running and others are pending. Number of simultaneously can be configured in UI.

Hi,

in such cases you could disable Verify New Snapshots and add a verification job with a relatively frequent schedule (e.g., 1h) and the Skip verified snapshots checkbox ticked instead.
That way the verification still starts quite soon after backup, only new (or snapshots with very old verification age) get verified and all since the last run of that job one are batched together and done in series, instead of parallel.

thanks for reply. Yes, this is solution. But I think that protection against overload server with enabled Skip verified snapshots will be good .
