Import existing ISO directory

I have an NFS server with an export path of e.g. /mnt/filestore/iso/OS/Linux/, and would like to mount and import all existing ISO images that are stored within this directory, and preferably the recursive view of sub folders. I have gotten the NFS mount to work, but the ISO list remains empty within the storage resource view. Is there a CLI command that can scan and import ISO or qcow2 files from an existing directory without having to duplicate the data? It appears to me that every object in proxmox is a Database record, and has to be imported for the associated metadata. Is there a process to bulk import? Can someone please provide some insight to this process, and if there are any other ways to accomplish this.
