iGPU pass through (intel i5-11400)

When I installed prox a year ago or so, I guess there was some issue with the pci passthrough of the onboard 11th gen igpu. Has this been resolved I'd like to be able to pass the intel quicksync to my frigate or jellyfin VM's (I'm currently running

CPU(s) 12 x 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11600 @ 2.80GHz (1 Socket)

is this something I have to upgrade to prox 8 if so? I've been putting it off as everything seems to be running perfect.

Has the same question, I used i5-11400T, and motherboard is MSI B560i ITX.

Can I use the passthrough gpu?

I found you can do 1 of 2 things

1. do a hard pass through using the hardware id (only available in that)
2. use containers and share the resource.

currently I'm sharing frigate(NVR) and jellyfin and its working fine.

Hi wafflestomper,

As you said that it's possible to passthrough the iGPU of i5-11400, could you please describe how did you managed that.

For instance, what did you put in your /etc/default/grub CMDLINE correct options. Finally are you using the SR-IOV method or something new/else.
I tried few months ago to deal with passingthrough the iGPU to VM be following SR-IOV method, without success. each time googling that said drivers was failling with 11th Gen CPU.
