Hello. Im doing a final grade project with a classmate and we have to make a proxmox server that runs 10 vm, whichs will be opened by other terminals. Our teachers said that we have to use PXE to auto connects the terminal to the proxmox's vms. We have been searching information about booting vm's from proxmox via PXE and I cant found a solution. I have made a server in my same network area. I have problems to update the proxmox sv (I tried to update it, and looked like its got updated, but I dont know if it updated well).
I have created a VM in the proxmox server without problems, using Windows7 iso file. We pinged google via Proxmox's console and it can ping google, but the vm inside has no network. The network device is in Bridge and is the realtek version.
Im using VirtualBox to create a vm (simulating these terminals because im not rich) to connect to a proxmox's vm. I put the network boot in the first place in the boot order. First of all I open the proxmox server and after that, I open the VirtualBox vm to access via PXE. the pxe starts and tries to find a iso file in the net, but it cant found nothing.
We have search a lot of information, it always said that you have to create a PXE server but we dont understand why you need a pxe server and put a ISO image of an operative system there if what we want is to boot a Proxmox's vm via PXE in a virtual terminal from Virtual Box. Is Proxmox's vms able to boot via pxe from other terminal? What are we doing wrong?
