I can't change ide to virtio block device in proxmox ve 3.1

Hi to all, I have searching in the forum and I have found a solution for change from ideo to virtio. I keep the whole process but when I delete the disk, the file qcow2 delete from the server.
If I edit ide block device in proxmox 3.1, I can't select virtio drivers, How can I do it? Thanks to all

Well, I solve it editing /etc/pve/qemu-server/101.conf and change it. But, Why Can't I change it in gui? permissions?

Remove disk. Then double click on the removed disk and set it up the way you want. Click add
