I have a Debian VM that is running Nginx. I can't seem to make it listen to port 443 using the domain name https://www.mangojam.org. Tailing the log files in /var/log/nginx shows nothing.

But when I add port 8443, it does resolve properly https://www.mangojam.org:8443. Before I moved to proxmox, it wasn't an issue. I'm very new to proxmox and not sure if I have to create a firewall rule or something special to allow port 443 to passthrough my VM. Any thoughts or ideas on how I can fix this issue?

Here is my VM network settings if that helps

I added port 8443 to test and it automatically works.

Port 443 should work unless you changed the default firewall configs on the PVE host or inside the VM. At least here nginx works fine in a Debian10/11 VM.

Thanks. After some testing I can hit the server directly using the IP. So this must be my isp
