I have a HPz440 workstation that I want to configure as a proxmox server. Its been used for many other purposes in its past so I dont think the bios is correctly configured to boot from the USB. Despite setting the USB as the first boot drive I always get "please install an operating system on your hard disk". It has a mix of 2x nvme (on a pci board) and 2x ssd drives (via sata cables.
Secure boot is disabled, BIOS is v2.62
I have messed about with the bios settings for many hours but just can get the usb proxmox drive to boot. Any advice? Is there a default setup for bios for this to work? Should I remove the pci board with the 2 x nvme drives?
