HPE hbamode conundrum

Howdy,

I have a small issue I would like to overcome. I am installing on a server with P420i and 12 disks. I would like to install PVE on a redundant disk set (RAID or equivalent), however to best utilize the disks, I would like to enable hbamode "ssacli ctrl slot=3 modify hbamode=on".

If I execute hbamode, PVE will install to one disk or another, but not redundant.

Any suggestions?

If you are using the controller in HBA mode, you should be fine to use ZFS via the installer's advanced options [1].
