Hi,
Soon I'll be migrating some single node esxi to proxmox. It's an hp server with Smart Array P408i-a raid card.
Just wondering which approach should I take, since the server will be never used in a cluster, it'll be always a single node.
Currently there are 6 SAS HDDs, 2 in RAID1 for OS and 4x RAID10 for VMs @ P408i-a controller.
And dunno which will be more performance - RAID or HBA mode (since this card supports this) and ZFS?
Unfortunately I don't have much time bench the raid card vs zfs scenario in real world in this case - that's I'm asking some other people that maybe tested such scenario.
