HP Microserver g2020t

Hi all,

I'm having trouble installing proxmox on a HP Microserver g2020t.

I am installing it on the SD card inside but towards the end of the install I get a pop up saying:

'unable to install the boot loader'

does anyone know how i can get round this ?

There are same HD in addition to SD card ?
If yes, you can try to remove HD, install PX on SD, than plug HD.

thanks for the reply, I took the HD out and tried to reinstall but still getting:
'unable to install the boot loader'

We had similar issues trying to install Proxmox 3.1 on a SuperMicro server sporting a Intel C606 SAS chipset connecting our hard drives. You can glean more information by dumping to the console [alt+F3 I believe?] It may by F2 or F4. The console should show an error message that can perhaps be used to diagnose the issue. Be sure to drop to the console after you get the 'unable to install the boot loader', but before clicking OK

I had this issue while trying to install proxmox on a 16GB USB FlashDrive. I replaced that with a faster 32GB different brand and it worked without any issue. Did you try a different SD Card? How are you plugging in your SD Card to the computer? With a SD Card reader? May be try a USB Flash Drive and see how it works.

I just tried a different 64GB SD card still same issue, it attached it to the micro sd card slot inside.

I just dumped the console, its now saying

"
your embedding area is unusually small. core.img won't fit in it
embedding is not possible but this is required for cross-disk install
unable to install the boot loader
"
