howto show backups as non admin user?

i want to give an customer the possibility to restore his backups.. or even to view it. but i tried a lot of different variations but never the backups show up in the list. i was even able to browse and delete templates etc. as this user but no backups...

did you assign pvedatastoreuser to the user?
it's probably best if done with groups & pools, eg:

create a pool with vm and its backup storage
create a group with your user
select the pool
assign groups permissions as pvevmuser
assign groups permissions as pvedatastoreuser
