Hello Guys,

I'm using proxmox 1.5 and it is pretty stable with a Dell PowerEdge Server.
Since I'm using Linux on my Desktop for 3 years now I have an customized Kernel CORE2 and 1000Hz Options set. How can I do the same on proxmox? I did it before on an openSUSE 11.1 Server with VMware Server 2.0 and the speed raised a lot.

Any help welcome ;)

You can change The HZ Option - that is not supported. And what is the CORE2 option - what kernel option do you talk about exactly?

You can't change the HZ Option on-the-fly. You have to compile the kernel with the folowing options in the .config-File "CONFIG_MCORE2=y" and "CONFIG_HZ_1000=y". But if it is not supported...

we do a lot of testing of our kernels. if you compile your own, you lost all of this benefits of a tested and widely used setup. therefore you are alone if you compile your own kernel - custom kernels are always non-supported kernels, that's the definition.
