Hi guys!
I would like to sell KVM VMs (Centos, Ubuntu, Debian, FreeBSD, ..) to my customers with autoinstall for them.
Maybe someone ask me: Genius, do you have idea about that Proxmox have that function called "KVM template" ? And answer is yes, i know about it.
And, why are you idiot and do not use it? Answer: Because I use OVH GAME as main host and this means my kvm template will use his predefined mac address insted of base mac address.

Any idea?

Write you own provisioning system that sets the mac correctly to whatever you need, boots from DHCP/PXE/TFP and installs everything from scratch.

Personally, I always reinstall OSs automatically, because then all updates are automatically included up to the day of the roll out.

I also use OVH as service provider and I'm deploying Templates using Cloud-init and there is not problem with MAC address. The only thing is that maybe in OVH Game, there is not option for vrack?? if you have the option to use vrack and add your ipblock to the vrack you will be capable to use any mac address that is created automatically by proxmox.
