how to upgrade to smartmontool 7.4?

the smart tools seem to be on 7.3 as of 8.2.4
i need 7.4 as it adds nvme short and long tests which I need for trouble shooting

how ca i update smartmontool above the currently presented package?

Note that you are leaving the tested grounds when you manipulate the host OS in this (or similar) ways. At the end this "PVE-installation" is not "clean" anymore...
