Hello !

Im completly new to Proxmox. So i installed Proxmox and installed Windows 11 and all the drivers, set up start VM when booting.

So now when i restart my Laptop there is still only the command Line comming to Log into Root.. There is no VM starting at my Laptop.

Im using only one device .. so proxmox is on my Laptop installed and i want to start my VM from the same Laptop when i start my pc.

How i get this to work ?

Best Regards,

Proxmox VE is headless, so all you get when booting it is that text console. If you want to both virtualize a VM and display that VM on your laptop you would need to add a desktop environment to your Proxmox VE, like for example described here: https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Developer_Workstations_with_Proxmox_VE_and_X11
And then you would need to use that desktop environment with some kind of RDP/VNC/SPICE/Parsec client to open a remote connection to your VM.

Keep in mind that most of that tutorial is refering to Debian Buster which was used by Proxmox VE 6.X. Proxmox VE 7.X is based on Debian Bullseye so you would need to use the Bullseye repos and not the Buster ones
