Hi,

I test Graylog with some VM in Proxmox, but my VM are at rest and it's not representive of their behaviour in production.

Do you know how I can simulate "production VMs" in Proxmox ?

Best regards,

Hey,

what do you mean with "simulate"? Couldn't you just clone the production VMs and start them? I am not sure I understood your question.

I don't think this is possible. You can try to generate logs with a script but even this is no production workload.

You need to know how many log entries your production workload is generating. This also depends how many servers include your production environment.

If you like to test this you need more or less a 2nd set of servers for staging. I can tell you that you will see a big difference between staging and production.

If you see performance problems in production you can tune greylog or add nodes to the setup.
