Hi
Ok, this might sound like a strange question, especially as my searching has found people trying to solve slow connections and in fact I am trying to create one.
Let me explain.
In the real world there is a server hosting an application and other servers talk to it over the internet. One of those servers is on a very very very slow Internet connection and is having problems.
What I want to do (if possible) is create the two VMs on my test proxmox server. The first VM being the application server and the second VM being the problem server.
I'd like to simulate the very slow network in proxmox by creating a virtual network being the two VMs and then specify the speeds (upload speed and download speed) so I can debug test the application server.
Is this possible? and if so how?
If no, not in proxmox, then do I need a third VM to sit in the middle and run something to simulate slow networks? If so what?
Many thanks in advance
