How to set ZFS pool as backup storage

Hi all,
Sorry for the beginner question - I've been doing some googling and haven't had any luck.
I have 2x4TB drives in my Proxmox host that I have put in a ZFS mirror.
I want to set these 2 drives as my backup directory but I don't have the option in the gui,

I've tried adding 'backup' do the storage.cfg file but that has not helped either


Any suggestions?
I'm starting to think that ZFS can't be used for backup store?

I tired to find a way to do this in the Proxmox GUI too I don't know why they have not added it.

I use a script to do this https://github.com/Jehops/zap
