Hey there, thanks in advance for any insights on this issue.

First of all I'm a newbie. I have my proxmox setup in a mini pc (Elitedesk with 2400ge - realtek ethernet), and i've decided to move into a different pc (Shuttle NC03U - Intel 3865U - Intel ethernet).

The system boots but i have no internet. I suspect it's because i'm using realtek drivers - my question is: how to i change/install the new ethernet card?

When i run LSPCI it shows both cards (the existing Intel, and the old Realtek)

Thanks again.

That might be a thing on Windows, but Proxmox (or Linux) will just use the right drivers (if it is supported).

Most likely, the network device name is different (find out with ip a) and you need to adjust /etc/network/interfaces accordingly (for example with nano) using the Proxmox host console (with a physical keyboard and display).

Thanks for the quick reply.
(forgive me sending photos, i have no way of copy-paste)
Result of ip a:

result of lspci:

my interfaces file:

I replaced vmbr0 with enp1s0 in the interfaces file, restarted the networking services and now i have internet.
