How to replace a defective HDD in a ZFS pool

Hello,

we have a server with a ZFS pool (raidz1-0). A HDD is defective and needs to be replaced.
Is there anything important to consider when swapping a HDD? Do I have to run any ZFS commands on the physical server? Should I swap the HDD first before running those commands?
